“I think this law will stand; it’ll be hard to take away,” Berwick said Monday during his keynote address at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s in National Harbor, Md.
Most of Berwick’s speech highlighted projects and ideas about increasing access to care, improving health and decreasing cost. He did take time, however, to call on health care professionals to mobilize politically and defend the law — themes he echoed when he later talked with KHN.
