Many Americans are unaware of the basic facts about the Zika virus, which is spreading rapidly through the Americas and could reach the continental U.S. this summer. While 87% of people know that Zika is spread by mosquitoes, nearly one in three people mistakenly believe that it also can be spread by coughing or sneezing, like a cold, according to a survey of 1,275 adults from the Harvard T.H.
