Striking Three Things From Health Bill Would Win Over Freedom Caucus
The majority of the House Freedom Caucus would vote for a healthcare bill that gets rid of three of ObamaCare's insurer regulations, the group鈥檚 chairman, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), said Thursday.聽The caucus has withheld its support from the GOP's ObamaCare repeal bill last month, saying it does nothing to drive down insurance premiums. (Hellmann, 4/6)
Meadows said the group wants to make sure that people with pre-existing conditions will still be able to get insurance, and insurance premiums will be reduced. "If we don't do that, we will have failed," said Meadows. (Eaton, 4/6)
