U.S. Abortion Rates Drop To 'Historic Lows'
The rate of abortions in the U.S. has reached 鈥渉istoric lows鈥 after dropping by double-digits over the last decade, according to a new government report. The number of women having abortions dropped 13 percent between 2002 and 2011, new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show. (Ferris, 12/1)
The number of abortions in the United States has fallen to its lowest point in a decade, with the greatest drop among teenagers, according to a new report from the CDC. Just over 730,300 abortions were performed in 2011, a 5 percent decrease from the year before.
